Mitsubishi Electric Thai Foundation

Established in 1991, Mitsubishi Electric Thai Foundation (METF) has been supporting Thai society on educational support through scholarship program which has been continuing for 31 years to provide scholarships to university engineering students. Since 2014, Foundation has extended the support to environmental activity in collaboration with government sectors and local community with support from each group companies in Thailand. Since then, the volunteer activity with all group companies’ employee engagement has been conducted with focus on the environmental activity. Thai Philanthropic Committee has established to strengthen CSR collaborations between Mitsubishi Electric Group company in Thailand and to response to social needs to create positive impact for Thai society where we belong to.

Environmental Preservation

METF in collaboration with 11 Mitsubishi Electric Group companies in Thailand, has been contributing to environmental preservation through volunteer activity with all group companies’ employees, unite to participate at the annual tree planting event under the "Community Forest Partnership for Climate Action Project". On 17 June 2023, more than 250 employee volunteers of Mitsubishi Electric group in Thailand has gathered at Si Mahaphot District in Prachinburi Province for tree planting and making fence for natural trail with the local community. The main purpose is to raise awareness regarding the problems from greenhouse effects among our employees and to let employees take pride in engaging to support the community to utilize benefit from community forest as well as encouraging the community to help conserve natural resources—beneficial to social, economic and environmental to embrace our Corporate Commitment "Changes for the Better" to always strive to achieve something better.

Back in 1995, Thailand experienced flood crisis, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s initiation on the integration of water information which required technology resources. Various sectors involvement and community engagement is crucial for self-sustainability. METF contribution to Community Water Management –Project is beneficial for community’s water reservation during drought period for agricultural purpose and flooding countermeasure as well. The project aims for self-sustainability by community to manage their own area based on local wisdom and geographical characteristic of each area with 4 guidelines– finding water source (water data management), reserving water for daily household and agricultural usage, using and managing water efficiently. Community is capable for adjusting to change of environment for sustainable production and income generation for the whole year and extend their success as model community to support capability building to other community for sustainable development.

Educational Support for the development of next generation

Scholarship Program has started since 1993 for underprivileged engineering student at Chulalongkorn, Kasetsart and Thammasat University and in 2012, extended to Chiang Mai University for the development of science and technology human resources in Thailand. As part of our long-term view, we believe the education is the key to a sustainable growth and the Foundation has been supporting Thai Education since the beginning of our establishment. As the underlying concept behind the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), to "leave no-one behind". Mitsubishi Electric Thai Foundation has been granting scholarship donation to engineering students for 31 years and Scholarship students will have a chance for internship at Mitsubishi Electric group companies to gain onsite experience as well.

Science Classroom activity for primary school students to learn science through fun experiments and the opportunity for students to learn Mitsubishi Electric key technologies to create the love for science knowledge for future innovation. Science Classroom activity is conducted by host company rotating each year and each company will be able to present their key technology through fun scientific experiment linked to their own expertise and the opportunity to make a contribution to nearby school at their local communities.

Prateep Dek Thai Project was founded in 1975 to build up Child Development Center for children of 2-6 years old for the preparation to develop physical and psychological for future education and to lessen the financial burden to parents who has no time to take care of children due to the necessity to work on daily basis. With contribution from employees of 11 Mitsubishi Electric group companies and Matching gift from METF to build Child Development Center in every year, hoping to see smiles on children face as they grow up to be a quality person for Thai society.

Partnership School Project is student and community empowerment activity at school as a life learning center of the community where student learn to be an entrepreneur through agricultural simulation of business model from producer, marketing, accounting etc. The project aimed to create school as alternative form of education institutions where students and personnels focus not on numeral and literacy skills, but rather on life and occupational skills, which students and community utilize school in more dynamic aspect as life-long learning center. Therefore, students will develop occupational skills which each school can create curriculum customized to each own area’s expertise for self-employed and ability to earn living in own community and no necessity to leave for employment in big cities for the sustainable development of own community.

Mitsubishi Elevator Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd (AMEC)

Mitsubishi Elevator Asia company saw the importance of educational institution nearby Industrial estate. Therefore, arrange activity for development about safety and hygiene operation and working environment to society for provide knowledge to student and teacher. This Main purpose for development school nearby company to be good safety area, no accident occurs with student and improve first-aid skill and resuscitation by CPR including provide knowledge about how to use elevator and escalator safely.

Mitsubishi Electric Consumer Product (Thailand) Co., Ltd (MCP)

Mitsubishi Electric Consumer Products (Thailand) Co, LTD. In corroboration with leader of Mab Pong Subdistrict Administration Office gathered for Hydroponic vegetables Planting Demonstration and donate demonstration set for villager at Mab Pong, Chonburi. The main purpose is to enhance learning in occupations. and can make a living by their own.

Mitsubishi Electric Automation (Thailand) Co., Ltd (MEATH)

Mitsubishi Electric Automation (Thailand) Co.,Ltd. donated to support National Children's Day 2023 activities at 10 locations as follows : 1) Surao Lam Khaek School 2) Ninlaratuppatham School 3) Sam Yaek Tha Khai School 4) Siriwangwittayakhan School 5) The Early Childhood Developmental Center Feun Nakorn Romklao Community 6) Watsankasem School 7) The Early Childhood Developmental Center Supawan Village - Thepharak Community 8) The Early Childhood Developmental Center Phaendin Thong Siri Wang Phatthana Community 9) Siam Phatthana Community 10) The Early Childhood Developmental Center Hua Ban Klong Bang Lao Community. Total donation is 10,000 Baht. All 10 locations will use the donations to purchase gifts, prizes, and organize activities on National Children's Day.

Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation (Thailand) Co., Ltd (MELFT)

1. Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation (Thailand) Co., Ltd. Collaborated with education partner to organize the VEC competition 2023 for both of PLC and Mechatronics fields for 5 Regionals around Thailand. The main purpose is inspire and build the qualified persons. To be a part in helping reduce the problem of lack of qualified manpower in the automation industry. Then we provided the training and FA products for teacher and students who joined this event in vocational level. There are also plans to organize a national competition in 2024.

2. "EEC Automation Park was established to be a center, managed by Burapha University by focusing on human resource development, innovation and automation system".
EEC Automation Park is a human development and technology transfer center for Industry Automation. At EEC Automation Park, we believe in the transformative power of Industry 4.0 which will bridge the gap between operational technology and information technology that will lead to increased productivity, improved efficiency, safer workplaces, reduced factory lead times, and the list goes on. Our goal is to be an alliance network that brings about the technology and innovation to the industry by means of industry 4.0 technology transfer, hands-on educating on industry 4.0, demand-supply technology matching and improving workforce skills to be in accordance with industry standards. With our location in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), we can create the future and next generation workforce, which then can drive the technology and industry in Thailand to the better future.

Mitsubishi Elevator (Thailand) Co., Ltd (MET)

Mitsubishi Elevator (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (MET) led by management team, employees along with professors from International Program in Design and Architecture, Chulalongkorn University (INDA) handed over a school building to Khok Sa-at School, Bueng Kan Province in 2024. Hometown School Development is a project selected from MET employees' hometown school to build a building for schools and students in rural areas. The building designed by students from INDA and supported by MET. In addition, the company also makes an off-season offering of robes and other needs to monks, donated money & school supplies as well as supporting trees of the project "One Lift You Need, One Seed We Plant" to preserve the environment and increase the green area for the school. The company sincerely hopes that we will be a part of improving the quality of children's life and distributing the values to society.

Mitsubishi Electric Thai Auto-Parts Co., Ltd (META)

Mitsubishi Electric Thai Auto-Parts Co., Ltd. led by the management team and employee representatives, joined in planting auspicious trees, opening a nursery, and planting seedlings to increase green space as a source of natural diversity and create a balanced ecosystem for the area, which was divided into various activities, including planting trees and planting seedlings. In addition, there are booths to provide knowledge to employees to create awareness among employees about protecting the environment, appreciating the value of the environment, and changing everyday behavior to be more environmentally friendly. During the lunch break, there will be booths for energy and environmental conservation activities such as waste management, sorting waste types, etc.

Mitsubishi Electric Kang Yong Watana Co., Ltd (MKY)

Mitsubishi Electric Kang Yong Watana Co., Ltd. continues to advance its activities through "The Giver Project" by donating 100 wheelchairs, adult diapers, and 20 Mitsubishi Electric fans, with a total value of 335,000 Baht, to people with disabilities who face challenges. The donation was made through the Social and Human Security Development Office in Nakhon Nayok province. The initiative was led by Mr. Shinji Kamiya, the Managing Director, along with the executive team and representatives of the company.
The presentation ceremony took place at Janthara Resort in Nakhon Nayok, with Mr. Bancha Chaowarintorn, the Provincial Governor of Nakhon Nayok, accepting the donations on behalf of the recipients. The items aim to enhance the daily lives and convenience of people with disabilities, aligning with the company's commitment to elevating the quality of life and well-being in Thai society.

Siam Compressor Industry Co., Ltd (SCI)

In accordance with the company's Greener Solution Provider policy, which emphasizes sustainable community engagement and CSR support as the company's continuous commitment., the 'Fix It Air Con' Training Center initiative was inaugurated on 16 May 2566 at the Laem Chabang Engineering is a collaboration between Siam Compressor Industry Co., Ltd. (SCI) and Laem Chabang Engineering Technological College (EN-TECH). The company has actively contributed to the improvement of the college's technical knowledge and skills in air conditioning by enhancing the maintenance, service, and care of air conditioning units. This effort aims to raise the standards of professional air conditioning technicians. Currently, the company has MOUs in place with over 30 technical colleges across the country, sustaining connections that have offered internship opportunities for over 4,500 students over the last eleven years.

Kang Yong Electric Public Co., Ltd (KYE)

Kang Yong Electric Public Company Limited organized the 11th bus stop cleaning activity on Saturday, May 20, 2023, along Debaratana Road, totaling 9 points. Every bus stop will have the name of Kang Yong Electric Public Company Limited installed it for the public to use led by a management team and 80 employees participating in the activity.
