Mitsubishi Electric Thai Foundation
Established in 1991, Mitsubishi Electric Thai Foundation (METF) has been supporting Thai society on educational support through scholarship program which has been continuing for more than 30 years to provide scholarships to university engineering students. For Mitsubishi Electric Thai Foundation, as part of our long-term view, we believe the education is the key to success and the Foundation has been supporting Thai Education since the beginning of our establishment. As the underlying concept behind the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), to "Leave no-one behind", our foundation strives to achieve this goal through contributions and activity implementation to response to social needs such as Educational support (Development of next generation) and Environmental conservation for the sustainable society.
Environmental Conservation
Disaster Relief: Donation for flooding situation
Mitsubishi Electric Thai Foundation, led by Mr. Tetsuya Shinohara, Vice Chairman, donated a sum of THB 250,000 to H.E. Privy Councillor Admiral Pongthep Nhuthep, Chairman of Rajaprajanugroh Foundation under Royal Patronage to support for flood relief due to flooding situations in middle of August 2024, many provinces in Northern part of Thailand where disaster strikes, families lost their homes and belongings, METF provided immediate support to ensure that no one faces this challenge alone.
METF supports Utokapat Foundation under Royal Patronage for community water management for drought and flood countermeasures which contribute to mitigating future risk for the community. By working collaboratively, we stand together in this unprecedented situation and hope that our immediate donation will help relieve those flood-affected communities during the vulnerable time and also contribute to long-term recovery and allow communities to regain stability and resilience.
Volunteer Activity
METF in collaboration with 11 Mitsubishi Electric Group companies in Thailand, has been contributing to environmental preservation through volunteer activity with all group companies’ employees, unite to participate at the annual tree planting event under the "Community Forest Partnership for Climate Action Project". On 15 June 2024, more than 500 employee volunteers of Mitsubishi Electric group in Thailand has gathered at Prachantakham District in Prachinburi Province for planting trees and local herbs, making natural learning trail and tree ordination ceremony (symbolic ceremony to protect forest) with local community. Our employees take pride in engaging to support the community for appropriately utilize benefit from community forest as well as encouraging the community to help conserve natural resources—beneficial to social, economic and environment.
Community Water Management Project

Back in 1995, Thailand experienced flood crisis, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s initiation on the integration of water information which required technology resources. Various sectors involvement and community engagement is crucial for self-sustainability. METF contribution to Community Water Management Project is beneficial for community’s water reservation during drought period for agricultural purposes and flooding countermeasures as well. The project aims for self-sustainability by community to manage their own area based on local wisdom and geographical characteristic of each area with 4 guidelines– finding water source (water data management), reserving water for daily household and agricultural usage, using and managing water efficiently. Community is capable for adjusting to change of environment for sustainable production and income generation for the whole year and extend their success as model community to support capability building to other community for sustainable development.
On 10 January 2025, METF received the Award from Her Royal Highness Princess Sirindhorn for the contribution to Utokapat Foundation for the community water management project.
Educational Support (Development of next generation)
Scholarship Program
Scholarship Program started in 1993 for underprivileged engineering students at Chulalongkorn, Kasetsart and Thammasat University and in 2012, extended to Chiang Mai University. King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) has been added in 2024 program for the development of science and technology human resources in Thailand. Mitsubishi Electric Thai Foundation has been granting scholarship donation to engineering students for 32 years and Scholarship students will have a chance for internship at Mitsubishi Electric group companies to gain onsite experience as well.
Science Classroom
Science Classroom activity for primary school students to learn science through fun experiments and the opportunity for students to learn Mitsubishi Electric key technologies to create the love for science knowledge for future innovation. Science Classroom activity is conducted by host company rotating each year and in 2024 Mitsubishi Electric Automation (Thailand) in collaboration with Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation (Thailand) have welcomed 55 primary 5th students from Songwit Suksa School to learn about energy saving, DIY motor and playing with robotic arm through fun experiments as part of contribution to local communities.
Prateep Dek Thai Project
Prateep Dek Thai Project was founded in 1975 to build up Child Development Center for children of 2-6 years old for the preparation to develop physical and psychological for future education and to lessen the financial burden to parents who has no time to take care of children due to the necessity to work on daily basis. At Child Development Center, children will be taken care with nutritious food for physical development and meditation practice, social skill of living with others for the preparation for higher education and beneficial to their hometown development in the future.
The target is to build up 7,000 Child Development Centers in every Tambon (Subdistrict) all over Thailand. Mitsubishi Electric Thai Foundation in collaboration with Prateep Dek Thai Luangphor Viriyang Sirintharo Foundation to build Child Development Center for Children in up-country all-over Thailand with our hope to see smiles on children face as they happily grow up to be a quality person for Thai society.
Partnership School Project
Partnership School Project is student and community empowerment activity at school as a life learning center of the community where student learn to be an entrepreneur through agricultural simulation of business model from producer, marketing, accounting etc. The project aimed to create school as alternative form of education institutions where students and personnels focus not on numeral and literacy skills, but rather on life and occupational skills, which students and community utilize school in more dynamic aspect as life-long learning center. Therefore, students will develop occupational skills which each school can create curriculum customized to each own area’s expertise for self-employed and ability to earn living in own community and no necessity to leave for employment in big cities for the sustainable development of own community. In 2024, METF visited project implementation at school and conducted "Meditation Classroom" in collaboration with Dhammamongkol Temple to teach students basic meditation for daily life which can be their lifelong practice.

Mitsubishi Elevator Asia Co., Ltd. (AMEC)
Volunteer Camp Activity

Mitsubishi Elevator Asia saw the importance of educational institutions near the industrial estate. Therefore, activities are organized to develop schools that lack funds and equipment for education to be a part of supporting the country's education system. Including promoting and supporting teaching media equipment for children and youth to develop and enhance the quality of life of underprivileged communities by renovating the cafeteria building for students.
Chonburi Technical College Visitor

Mitsubishi Elevator Asia offers opportunities to students from Chonburi Technical College for factory visit, students can see how the theories they learn from college are applied to industrial work. Students will understand the production process and the operation of machines and production management in the factory.
Mitsubishi Electric Consumer Products (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (MCP)
Smile library

Mitsubishi Electric Consumer Products (Thailand) led by management and 120 newcomers, including the villagers of Wat Ban Rai, jointly developed a library for Wat Ban Rai School. The objective was to restore the library that was not ready for use to be usable again, including repairing the equipment in the student bathrooms to be ready for use and painting it to be more clean.
Shrimp Chili Paste

Mitsubishi Electric Consumer Products (Thailand) organized an activity to provide knowledge on making shrimp chili paste to more than 80 villagers in the Bang Nang community to expand their careers when they are free from their regular jobs. In addition, the company's employees who are nearing retirement age also joined the activity, which is considered a career enhancement and a guideline for post-retirement careers.
Mitsubishi Electric Automation (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (MEATH)
Cycling, Sharing Happiness to Bang Kachao Community.
Mitsubishi Electric Automation (Thailand) realizes the importance of supporting society, communities and the environment. Organized a CSR activity "Cycling, Sharing Happiness to Bang Kachao Community", with 50 volunteer employees participating in the activity. In this activity, employees joined together to do tie-dye activities, transplant seedlings, make EM balls and make birdhouses to give to the community and maintain the environment in the community park area. This activity also promotes physical health for employees through cycling.
Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (MELFT)
Sponsorship TPA Robot contest Thailand championship
Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation (Thailand) supported the TPA Robotics Championship of Thailand in the PLC category. The robotics competition serves as a key activity to inspire youth and encourage their interest in learning science and technology. It enables students to develop critical thinking, practical skills, and problem-solving abilities. Additionally, it provides an opportunity for students to apply their knowledge, skills, and experience from the competition to create innovative works that benefit society. Driven by the commitment to promoting technology in Thai society, the competition was held on June 8-9 at Zeer Rangsit.
The 15th National Rajamangala Engineering Academic Contest
Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation (Thailand) in collaboration with its partners AD and JFAC, supported the 15th National Rajamangala Engineering Academic Contest, held from July 31 to August 2. In the automation competition and IIOT competition by the competition aimed to encourage students to showcase their knowledge, creativity, and engineering skills through various activities. It also provided a platform for students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world problem-solving, bridging the gap between academic institutes and the professional workplace.
Mitsubishi Elevator (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (MET)

Mitsubishi Elevator (Thailand) led by management team, employees along with professors from International Program in Design and Architecture, Chulalongkorn University (INDA) handed over a school building to Khok Sa-at School, Bueng Kan Province in 2024. Hometown School Development is a project selected from MET employees' hometown school to build a building for schools and students in rural areas. The building designed by students from INDA and supported by MET. In addition, the company also makes an off-season offering of robes and other needs to monks, donated money & school supplies as well as supporting trees of the project "One Lift You Need, One Seed We Plant" to preserve the environment and increase the green area for the school. The company sincerely hopes that we will be a part of improving the quality of children's life and distributing the values to society.
Mitsubishi Electric Thai Auto-Parts Co., Ltd. (META)
Children’s Day

Mitsubishi Electric Thai Auto-Parts organized a National Children's Day event in collaboration with Nikhom Sang Ton-Eng Rayong Province 13 Schools, located in Maenam Khu Sub-district, Pluak Daeng District, Rayong Province. Led by the management team and 30 employee representatives, the company participated in activities with the students and provided scholarships totaling 5,000 baht, educational supplies, sports equipment, and various other items. The event aimed to encourage youth to express creative and constructive ideas, support child development, and foster a positive relationship between the company and the community.
Present candles to the temple on the occasion of the Buddhist Lent Ceremony

Mitsubishi Electric Thai Auto-Parts organized a candle-offering ceremony in observance of the Buddhist Lent Day 2024 in collaboration with Nikom Sang Ton Eng School, Rayong Province. The event was attended by 30 executives and employee representatives who participated in the merit-making activity, including donating a money tree for charity, with a total contribution amounting to 19,966 baht. This initiative aimed to preserve Thailand's esteemed cultural and traditional heritage, express faith, uphold Buddhism, and carry forward these noble traditions. Additionally, it sought to strengthen the bond between the company and the community in Pluak Daeng District.
Mitsubishi Electric Kang Yong Watana Co., Ltd. (MKY)
Wheelchair Donation Project for Underprivileged People with Disabilities
Mitsubishi Electric Kang Yong Watana led by Mr. Toshiyuki Iizuka, Managing Director, along with the management team and employee representatives, organized "The Giver Project" to donate essential items to underprivileged people with disabilities. The company invited employees to contribute to this charitable activity, which included 100 wheelchairs for people with disabilities, 73 boxes of adult diapers, 30 Mitsubishi Electric fans, and 200 bags of rice, with a total value of 370,145 baht. These items were donated to underprivileged people with disabilities through the Office of Social Development and Human Security, Uthai Thani Province. The donation was received by Mr. Vithoon Sirinukul, Deputy Governor of Uthai Thani Province, to help alleviate hardship and improve the quality of life for people with disabilities at the Uthai Thani Red Cross Office.

Siam Compressor Industry Co., Ltd. (SCI)
The second Fix It Air Con Training Center
Siam Compressor Industry has expanded educational opportunities in northern Thailand by contributing to the establishment of the second Fix It Air Con Training Center at Nakhon Lampang Technical College, Lampang Province. This center serves as a valuable learning resource for students and community members, providing training in air conditioning maintenance.
The opening ceremony for the second Fix It Air Con Training Center took place on July 30, 2024. Mr. Tawatchai Wongmontol (Human Resources Division Manager), Mr. Somkid Chairat (Production Division Manager), and Mr. Tanai Kaewprasit (Human Resources Management Department Manager) traveled to Lampang province to conduct the ceremony and officially hand over the center to the college.
This project was initially launched at Laem Chabang Engineering Technological College on May 16, 2023, and achieved satisfactory results. As a result, Nakhon Lampang Technical College was selected as the second location for the project.
This activity aligns with SCI's Greener Solution Provider policy, which emphasizes coexisting with the community and supporting sustainable CSR initiatives. These values have always been a core focus for SCI and are consistently practiced.
SCI joined in caring for the community through the Laem Chabang Municipality’s Senior School Project.
According to Laem Chabang Municipality, there is a school project for the elderly in communities within the municipality area, with a total of 5 communities and schools. Each week, there is teaching and learning with the support of lecturers from various agencies to provide knowledge or organize various activities that are consistent with age to promote good health.
SCI has participated in organizing environmental activities by teaching the elderly to make soap from used household vegetable oil and well-being health care activities by inviting traditional Thai medicine doctors from Queen Savang Vadhana Memorial Hospital at Sriracha to give knowledge about health such as basic physical therapy to relax muscles, health care for the elderly, etc.
SCI is one of the companies that values the community and participates in community activities by arranging speakers to pass on knowledge and doing activities that create happiness for the elderly in the local community. This is another pride of SCI: in addition to producing energy-saving and environmentally friendly products, we also participate in developing the surrounding communities, which raises the level of the social and environmental sectors as well.
Kang Yong Electric Public Co., Ltd. (KYE)
Plaque of Honor to contributor of the Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, on the occasion of Mahidol Day 2024

On 24 September, 2024, the company was honored to receive a commemorative Plaque of Honor in recognition of its dedication to upholding the aspirations of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkla by helping underprivileged patients. This was on the occasion of "Mahidol Day 2024" in acknowledgment of the company's consistent blood donations to Siriraj Hospital for five consecutive years.
The plaque was presented by His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen at the Siriraj Centennial Hall, Siriraj Hospital. Mr. Atakrit Siwasarit, General Manager, was the representative of the company at the ceremony, with Mr. Chakpop Verapornprasit, Labor Relations Section Manager, who served as the company’s coordinator. Additionally, the company invited three employees with the highest participation in blood donation activity to join in a commemorative photo session at the event, which were Mr. Suphakin Wisetphonmongkhol, Supervisor of RP-RLA, Ms. Anurat Khuntong, Worker of RP-RLA-G.22A, and Ms. Supranee Meemak, Worker of FP-FAS-G.16D
KYE Spreading Care to Combat Wildfires
On 13 March, 2024, the company was on the project "KYE Spreading Care to Combat Wildfires", led by Mr. Keiji Oya, Managing Director, and Mr. Chayanind Phodhivorakhun, Executive Director, to donate safety boots and necessary equipment for wildfire suppression to officials of the Department of National Parks, the Royal Forest Department, volunteers, and residents of six villages in Chiang Dao District, Chiang Mai Province.
The items were received by representatives including the Director of Wildlife Conservation and community leaders, along with local residents.
In this project, the company donated 666 pairs of safety shoes that were replaced as part of the annual renewal cycle but remained in usable condition. These shoes were cleaned and handed over to the officials. Additionally, the company encouraged employees to contribute necessary items such as long-sleeved shirts, trousers, balm, blankets, and other things.
