Volunteer Activity : Forest Planting

Mitsubishi Electric Thai Foundation by executives and over 400 voluntary employees from 11 companies under Mitsubishi Electric Group Thailand gathered for forest planting for combat climate change, building check dam and community plant nursery at Ban Nong Muang Community Forest, Wangchan district, Rayong. The main purpose is to raise awareness regarding the problems of greenhouse gas among executives and employees as well as to support the community to fully gain benefit from the community forest and to encourage community to continuously and sustainably conserve forest which is one of the nation’s legacy. In addition, this campaign is aiming to show responsibility to social and environment under the memorandum of understanding “Community Forest Partnership for Climate Action” which is the collaboration between Royal Forest Department, Greenhouse Gas Management Organization and local community in order to sustainably combat climate change. Mitsubishi Electric Group has always realized the consistent participation in social and nation development which is in compliance with corporate statement “Changes for the Better”.

Science Classroom

Mitsubishi Electric Thai Foundation together with Mitsubishi Elevator (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and voluntary engineers from Mitsubishi Electric group in Thailand hosted “Science Classroom” activity for 120 students from Satit Bangna School. At the event, the students had an opportunity to enjoy many fun and creative activities with the integration of science knowledge such as heat transfer, build the highest egg tower, fun electrical circuit, power bike, sheave and weight, in which all activities focused on the real actions and experiments, skill practicing and the cultivation of for science. Science classroom activity was conducted recently at Bangna Convention Centre, Bangna Pride Hotel, Bangkok.

Scholarship

Mitsubishi Electric Thai Foundation presented bond-free scholarships until graduation with the value of 1,200,000 million Baht to engineering students from Chulalongkorn, Kasetsart, Thammasat and Chiangmai universities to support Thai education and to encourage students and youth in Thailand to concentrate on studies and to be responsible for society and nation in compliance with Mitsubishi Electric philosophy of growing the business to create “Changes for the Better”. The foundation has been giving out the scholarships for 25 consecutive years to 420 students with the total value of 23,222,000 Baht. The Scholarships Granting Ceremony 2018 was held at Mitsubishi Electric Asia (Thailand) office, AIA Sathorn Tower, Bangkok.

Slow Life Cycling with Attention to the Environment in the Hidden Gem Cities

In 2018, Mitsubishi Electric Kang Yong Watana Co., Ltd. will continue to support “Slow Life Cycling with Attention to the Environment in the Hidden Gem Cities” for the 3rd consecutive year. In conjunction with Tourism Authority of Thailand and Nation TV will organize bicycling activities around 6 provinces in 5 regions to promote eco-tourism. Mitsubishi Electric has also organized CSR activities for the cyclists to take part in helping the community and conserving the environments in all 6 provinces in order to bring about positive changes and better quality of life in the Thai society.

TPA Robot Contest Thailand Championship 2017

Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation (Thailand) Co., Ltd. supported TPA Robot Contest Thailand Championship 2017 by training factory automation products for students, transportation for non-Bangkok institutes 1,000 Baht/team, sponsorship 30,000 Baht per team to create machine, supporting money to winner prizes through TPA (Technology Promotion Association (Thailand-Japan).

MOU with King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang

A memorandum of understanding (MOU) has been signed between the Faculty of Engineering of King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang and the Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation (Thailand) Co., Ltd. by Mr. Yutaka Kawasaki, Managing Director. This is for education and personnel development in Factory Automation system to support the industry sector in Thailand.

Volunteer Activity For Rural Development

Executives of Mitsubishi Elevator Asia Co., Ltd. delivered canteen buildings to Ban Pa Thung Bunthit school at Buriram Province. The canteen is built from a budget of 420,000 baht.

Mitsubishi Elevator Asia Co., Ltd. with the cooperation of Chonburi hospital organized the blood donation activity 4 times a year.

One Lift You Need, One Seed We Plant

An ongoing green project since 2009, this project gives our customers the opportunity to be a part of an environmental conservation and increasing green area to the Earth. Examples of our projects, we cooperate with the Royal Forest Department to plant over 100 Rai of seedlings at the national conserved forest, Khao Yai and Lopburi. Altogether, Mitsubishi Elevator (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has planted over 20,000 trees on this project.

Mitsubishi Care for Kids

Negligence or misuse can cause an unfortunate incident. In order to reduce and prevent the accident, especially among young children who are likely to be affected, we came up with Care for Kids project in 2013. By utilizing various media with an edutainment technique, we create interesting activities of how to use elevator and escalator safety. Over 70 schools participated in this project because it is vital to educate our children how to cope with this products they encounter in their daily lives. It is inevitable that elevators and escalators make our lives easier and they are being installed everywhere whether it is residences, department stores, schools, hospitals, or public transportation stations etc.

Hometown School Development

Our vision is to elevate children’s quality of life in the rural areas. From this thinking, we organized this project for our employees to participate in. We encouraged them to develop their hometown schools in order to build awareness of social responsibility and create unity among employees. Hometown School Development project had been providing laughs and smiles to students in rural areas such as the renovation of the library and computer center at Fak Thung School, Ubonratchathani, the installation of drinking fountains and sinks at Dong Sawan School, Nongbualambhu, and recently the multi-purpose canteen at Baan Chonnabot, Khon Kaen etc.

MET Scholarship

A good education background leads to a better career development. Hence, we offer this scholarship to those interested in obtaining Vocational Certificates or High Vocational Certificates which will eventually increase the number of skilled employees in the company.

Siam Compressor Industry Co., Ltd.

SCI Mangrove Forest Preservation Project at Laemchabang Community, Chonburi

The volunteers and executives from Siam Compressor Industry Co., Ltd., together with volunteer network over 700 people participated in planting 1,000 mangrove trees at Baan Laem Chabang, Sriracha, Chonburi. Volunteer activities such as constructing a weir, constructing a waste prevention net, collecting waste in the mangrove forest, releasing 8,839 aquatic animals. Morever, SCI sponsored 20,000 Baht to Baan Laemchabang community too.

Big Cleaning Day "Clean Canal"

Project to develop the community around KYE: By integrating most of private companies located in Bangchalong Subdistric, our company has organized campaign to Clean Canal and built up the cleanliness and orderliness in our Bangchalong community, for example developing Canal routes in the area, removingl water hyacinths and wastes from canel.

Bus Stop Cleaning

Big cleaning day of Bus-Stop to the community in Bangna-Trad Road: After KYE has delivered seven Bus-Stops on Bangna-Trad road area to celebrate 50th anniversary, to keep them clean and safe to use, our company executives, and employees have joined the Bus-Stop Big Cleaning Day to clean and do maintainance in order to keep them usable as long as possible.

Mangrove forest

Mangrove Reforestation Project: To add green space to the community and a habitat of aquatic animals. The company has held the environmental projects, Life to nature, at Tabol Khlong Khon, Samut Songkhram Province. Our executives and employees, totally more than 200 people have joined together to plant over 2,000 mangrove trees in that area.
